Has anyone ever really tried a texturizer? Does it add texture 2 hair or does it soften already coarse hair? I'm mixed between Louisiana Creole and African American and my hair is right in between the both. Does anyone have any idea what a texturizer would do 2 my hair?

It's basically a mild relaxer, but left on the hair a shorter period of time. It merely loosens the curl pattern. My mom uses it with no problem.
