My daughter is 26 weeks and around 18 weeks my hair started coming out.?

It has since slowed down but now it just feels weak. Does any one know what I can do to get it back strong. I am 28 and African American, my hair has always been long and thick but when I got pregnant it got really thick now its thin. Can anyone help me?

This is totally normal. Before I had my son, I have full, thick, soft hair. After my son was born, I have dry, frizzy hair with split ends. Everytime I take a shower or brush my hair, half a handful of hair will fall out. I suggest hot oil treatment once a month and eat healthy. It's your hormones that's making these changes. All the good stuff has been given to your baby before she was born. I really don't mind giving all the good stuff to my son. I rather suffer than see him suffer.

ahh the lack of pregnancy horemones! It's perfectly normal although cruel to take back the thick hair pregnancy gave ya. Try taking prenantal vitamins again. That worked for me. Good luck and enjoy that baby!

During pregancy your body stops the normal hair shedding (up to 100 hairs a day). When your hormones go back to normal you start shedding again. It shouldn't be thinner than pre-pregnancy though.

It's normal. During pregnancy your body holds on to all of your hair instead of it falling out the way it usually would(which is why it was thicker while you were pregnant). After you have a baby your hormones go back to normal and all of that old hair that should have been falling out for 9 months starts to fall out. Don't worry you won't go bald and it will be back to normal in a few months.
