My mother is Hungarian, but my father is German.

I have very African American hair/ possible South American hair. My features are nothing like my parents'.

I asked my mother if my father is my real father and she told me he is.

DNA can tell you more than who your parents are, DNA varies from race to race and testing may find trends that would link you to more specific races of people. We are all Homo sapiens, but we are all not the same. DNA tells a lot.

race is not a biological concept, but rather a social one. there is not gene for "african-americanism" or to be "asian," rather race is a fluid concept. race is what you identify with, and because of that, technically, you can be a different race than your parents, or your children can be a different race than you. its a pretty abstract concept, but i am learning about it in my anthropology class and its tough to grasp....

but i guess, on the short, no, you cannot take a blood test to tell you race, just who your parents are, which you can trace back to see where your ancestors came from.
